The title says it all.... we got troubles!
Take them away from her at night Put them in basket with hay , in the day give them back to mom
I didnt realize it was you in the viral puppy video! Youre amazing
That pile of feathers is from Mom trying to make a nest on cement floor. She needs nesting material. Might allow better air circulation under her.
I think these 3 will live 🙏
Maybe you should separate them bring them inside till there big enough
Good.. I was going to say take the babies away. She's possibly a first time momma.. And sometimes Turkeys can be turkeys.. ;)
my dads turkeys all survived because they were raised by a bantam. looked weird seeing large Turkey chicks chasing a bantam mum. you need to separate the mum and baby turkeys
I think your right Lester hopefully the last three will survive.
I know when chicks and baby turkeys come into the feed stores, they survived very well without their parents under heat lamp until they get to the point they have enough feathers and they're big enough they don't really need it. Y'all did the right thing by preventing the mother from Herman anymore chicks
For the baby turkeys make sure that stuff that you have in there does not get moist and and the temperature it depends on how old how many weeks it's been they don't have no feathers so they can't keep warm cuz when they first were born according to what I read and had to be almost 100° to keep them warm then Weeks later you can lower it and lower it
How is the other new female turkey did she make it. I only use youtube so I can't keep up with it all.
Hi What happened to Jan the other female turkey . That got attacked by a dog and Jamie was trying to take care of her wounds from the dog attack. Marsha's the mother sister Jan?
Please call your vet. Your vet might know what's happening. Or call the people that you got them from. And see what they were doing with them at night with the mother turkey. She probably needs bedding to make a nest away from the hard stall wall. She might be crushing them up against wall and ground. That she needs something soft material for bedding for a Turkey nest to keep her babies safe from the hard floor and hard wall.
Maybe they need a heating lamp in the middle of the night. Like the baby chicks did. I don't know. Just guessing. You should call someone who knows about babies Turkey's and mama's turkeys. And see what they say.
Did they keep the momma turkey
So glad you reached out for help. 💚💚
It looks to me like the baby's are old enough to be separated from mom . She is smothering them with love.
May I ask where the little puppy is today Longhorn is it ok. Ahh making me cry to watch the little puppy. Thank you god for Lester helping it. God is useing you guys to watch over his creatures. And to reach out to other people to bring us all together. Thank you longhorn.
You did what you needed to in order to give the babies their best chance.
Turkey’s are free ranging birds you have them cooped up in that stall that is just my thinking of what might be happening to your baby turkeys
What happens if Mum was separated from bubs Lester you have such a kind heart . Maybe Lester it would be a good idea
Aw that is sad but I’m sure it was more heartbreaking to see those chicks dead every morning. You guys made the right choice
Great call guys, u ou did the right thing for them all to be able to live a full life
Turkeys are not always good moms . I think you should put mom out they like to feel safe and she can't see what's outside to no where the dangers are so she smothering them trying to protect them. They might be to hot . You need to separate mom from babies they don't need her. Send her to your dad's for a bit
What happened to Manny???
Hey Lester 🙏
I think the mumma is squashing them accidentally 💖💗
I think you did the right thing.
Never worry about Lester and Janies babies no matter how painful the decision is you always do what’s best for the animals and not what y’all would like🥰
You always do the right thing for your babies, couldn't help crying watching video of you saving Maggie's pup take care all of you
I think separating the chicks is a good idea
That was amazing Lester how you brought that baby back to life
Proud of you guys!! Such a hard decision, and letting go of the baby turkeys ended up being the best for them. Love you guys!!!😊
Sweet little Lola likes to watch the "Littles"....
I don't see how you could do anything different....that is the only solution to me as well.
The Mom needs to be able to see outside. May need to pull her out. In a normal poultry cage a breeze can blow through.
U need to separate her from the babies turkey ,if the babies can eat on there own..
Great job making the difficult choice of giving them to the sanctuary!! I’m so glad to hear they were doing great!!👏🏼👏🏼❤️
Big piles of hay in all corners.
You did the right thing. You were down to 3 from 9! at least these 3 have a chance.
I don't blame you guys for doing that maybe in the future we'll see
I think you guys should take the babies inside at night, obviously have something for them to be contained in with a heat lamp. But then you guys can play with them in order to make them super friendly around the farm!! I think that she is freaking out about being in a new place myself
Yeah the babies are safe and Momma is happy. That is what it is all about.
Yes, please separate them where you can keep an eye on them.
Lester you did the right thing those babies!!
Omgosh! My heart broke into pieces watching that tiny baby struggling to breath. Heart wrenching!
What happened to the other female turkey?
Lester you look fine with out a hat.
Honestly... It's probably from the very 1st day you brought them home. When you brought Cornhollio into the stall with them. Mom didn't know her surroundings. Didn't know him or y'all. So it's to be expected. She will probably be like this forever 💁
She probably came to you very stressed, moved to a strange place with little chicks, unfamiliar territory, poor momma, not your fault. You made the best decision.
I think your right, maybe the move was too much for her to handle with the babies. You did the right thing! ❤️
Our vet told us to take the babies away. They are getting baked. She is overhearting them. They don't need to be covered by her its time to seperate them.
I said it's just waited till the end of this video but I'm glad that everything's figured out and everybody else is going to be safe happy healthy and alive. Now tell cornholio to be a gentleman.
I have never seen that video with the pup before!! Lester, you truly are a gift to the animal world!! ❤
I found some turkey farms listed I don't know what is closest to you that there is one called chaos t e j a s heritage farm and their phone number is 281-9613034. There is Red gate farms poultry skip that one there is peach Creek poultry in Willis Texas and phone number 832-661-1580 I'll give you one more wenzel w e n z e l pride turkey farm Rockdale Texas phone number 512-446-3747. Give them a call and ask him what they know they got to know a lot if they're selling them turkeys and raising them. Good luck
Google turkey farm near me see if you can't call a turkey farm you know they exist because we have turkeys for Thanksgiving that's what I would do.
If it truly is the mama that's killing those babies of hers think about it this way what do bunny rabbits do with their babies when they feel like they're going to be harmed or there's the pressure of too many people or things coming around them. They killed them and they eat them I know this from experience from when I was a child. So maybe you need to remove those babies or remove The Mamas and let them go out to the yard. Or if you want to keep them all in that stall put the babies in one in the two adults in the other or keep them in the same stall but put the babies in a cage you know the ones that you carried them home in or something just an idea something's got to work cuz it's crazy. And I'm one of the people at least it mentioned something about the food on the ground and them traipsing through it and partying in it and stuff that's going to kill him. But do as you will they're your babies.
you have to dip there beaks in apple cider vinegar to help them with stress
You guys rock.
Can you put a tarp over a corner so she has shade and can get out of the light during the day ? Or a nesting box ?
Is she a first time Mom? Maybe it’s inexperience. Is the puppy Hannah?
put a camera up an watch them. you might have to take turns.
Tuckeys don’t need corners, because they all get on top of each other
Hi Lester and Jami, my heart goes out to you both. I do understand how hard it is to move a baby or babies to another farmer or a care haven for feathered and fur babies. Like you guy's say, " If you love those babies, then do the right thing". I love my dog very much, but if got ill then I would reach out for advice and help. All those people who are say that you should have done this or that way. If could see her squashing those babies with her body weight. Sorry for ranting on for so long. Take care and keep smiling Morrow Family. Many thanks to you all 💜💜🙏😊🙏💜💜
It's true! Animals can be loved to death. Saddly
You need to move her out.
I hope the remaining babies are doing well.
You did the right thing
I know someone who does not leave the chicks with the mother because it does not turn out good.
Hi Lester, there is good bits farming and there is bad parts farming. I think you have done the right thing. Take care. Lola Tasmania
Maybe it’s her first time being a mom.
Lester I think you’re right I think the mama turkey is killing the babies she is too protective over her baby you guys did the right thing for those baby turkeys I know it was hard but you guys did the right thing love you Lester and Jami
Your selfless loved saved those baby turkeys. You did a good thing. Thank you.
You made the right decision Lester & Jamie💜
So how is Jan the one that a dog got ahold on? So now is Marsha out with her in the Littles pasture?
Where's the hurt turkey
Well Done Lester♡
That resuscitation video of Maggie's' pup is what made me a subscriber.
She don't feel safe and she's trying to protect them
With Maggie, it was like the 101 Dalmatian movie when the puppies were born. Maggie's look was so sweet.
She's not squashing them, it's to much heat
Hi Lester, when temperatures get 80* and over into the 90s turkeys get heat exhausted. The mother is overwhelming them lovingly not knowing between the outside heat and her heat on the babies is killing them.
Lester you guys did the right thing by removing those babies. They are big enough to survive without mama. Maybe next time she had babies, place her and babies in the chicken coop so she has circulation of air. Just a thought for next time.
Better safe than sorry, you guys are doing great and I'm sure you will find out what's going on.
Take the babies away. They really don't need her. She is stepping on them.
If they are eating and drinking please take them away from her
Glad u found a place for them hope they will do fine.
From watching all your videos, Jamie needs a pair of Peacocks to add to her feather babies. It would be a beautiful addition to your farm. Maybe a birthday Idea for Jamie's next Birthday or Christmas present
WELLLLL DAMNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG LESTERRRRR!!!!! HERE I AM LEAVING YOU ALL THIS GOOD INFO ON WHAT TO DO AND HERE YOU DONE DID IT ALL ANYWAY BY THE END OF THIS VID LMFAOOOOO!!!!! SO I GUESS YA DON'T REALLY NEED TO REAL MY LAST 2 COMMENTS LOLOLOL
I’ll never forget that cause I too had to bring a pug puppy mouth to mouth ❤️❤️❤️
I don't know anything about this but what you are saying Lester makes sense. Time to remove mom.
LESTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! HERE IS YOUR ANSWER TO THEIR BODY TEMP. NOW THEY LOOK AT LEAST MORE THEN A FEW WEEKS OLD TO ME ALREADY SO TELLING FROM WHAT IMMA BOUT TO PASTE IN HERE FOR YOU, YES SHE IS KILLING THEM BY OVERHEATING THEM YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!!..........Turkey poults love heat. They will be happiest if you keep their brooder temperature at 95-100 degrees for the first week, then lower the temperature by about 5 degrees per week until they are fully feathered, approximately 6-8 weeks old...
Good move everyone.
You should separate them at birth. Separate them from the mother and no feed for the first day.
You always get to do what’s right for the babies 💖
LESTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! I HATE TO SAY IT BUT IF THAT IS WHAT YOU THINK MAMA IS DOING AT NITE TIME THEN TRY THIS...... TAKE THE 3 LEST AND BRING THEM IN THE HOUSE IF YOU HAVE TO IN LIKE ONE OF THE MANY INDOOR CAGES YOU HAVE AND THEN 1ST THING IN THE MORN PUT THEM BACK WIT MAMA, AND IF NO MORE DIE THEN SOOOOO SOOOO SAD TO SAY YES SHE WAS KILLING THEM BY LOVING THEM TO DEATH!!!!! BUT PLEASE TRY THIS B4 ANYMORE DIE!!!! UMMMM LESTERRRRRRRRRR READ THIS I JUST FOUND OUT CUZ MY IDEA MAY NOT GO REALLY WELL.................. the youngsters, called “poults,” will panic if separated from their mother. SO IDK MAYBE SEE IF THEY ARE STILL OF THE AGE OF FREAKING OUT WITHOUT MAMA???
They have to be separated!! Chickens and all other fowl can be separated at hatch and frankly the chicks do better without the hens!
Jamie already said she was going to separate them you need to separate them
